Church Relations & Fundraising
We greatly appreciate the support we have continued to receive from members and well wishers.Members,friends and well-wishers of the Bible Society of Uganda form the backbone of our local financial base.
Over the years,the work of the Bible has continued because of the untiring willingness to share the resources God has blessed us with.
Fundraising therefore forms a backbone of the United Bible Societies globally. Without this kind of giving,the Bible cause would not have reached the level at which it is today. At the local scene here in Uganda, we too have not neglected this very important arm of the ministry of giving financially to support the mission work of translating , distributing and subsidizing on the scriptures.
The Women Task Force did not pick up as we had earlier anticipated and we call upon the old members of this Task Force present here today and those who would like to join to come and rejuvenate the Task Force.
The Church contributions also come from a few Churches as seen from the appended Church contributions list. Reminders including telephone calls have been made to those who have not yet contributed and we trust that they will keep their promise. Many of the members also do not renew their membership on time. Follow up and reminders to members remain costly and sometimes a number of letters bounce due to change or wrong addresses given.
