Take Charge(Youth)

This is a sister project to where is the good Samaritan today?, the purpose of this project to fight HIV/AIDS among young people through encouraging them to take full responsibility of their lives by avoiding risky behaviours that could expose them to catching HIV. The project is using a take-charge booklet, which contains information about healthy behaviour and character formation, Christian values and scripture readings. The project also has a Take-charge video, which is also based on the booklet and follows the content closely.

Behavioural change communication and life skills training dominate the activities of the project. The major message in the project is:
if you choose to control your sexual desires and behave according to God’s
will, the chances of getting infected with HIV are minimal! If you follow the right advice given, it is certain that the war against HIV/AIDS will be won.
